Manus alternatives

Manus is a general-purpose agent that describes a browser, a file system and finished outputs such as presentations and websites. Few agents do exactly the same thing, so the useful question is which job you want done. This guide groups the other agents in our directory by job. It says what each vendor documents. It does not say any of them is better than Manus, because we have not tested any of them.

Where Manus stands, per its own documentation

Manus describes agent tools with a browser and file system that can execute tasks and create deliverables, including presentations and websites. Manus 2.0 adds, per its help centre, a Cascade engine, a Manus Studio desktop workspace, Cloud Computer, Automations and Remote Control. Pricing is credit-based with free daily credits documented, but the paid price and allowance are unconfirmed, because the help article and the current product page differ. Independent quality is unknown. See the Manus record.

How to choose

  1. Write the job in one sentence and what a finished result looks like.
  2. Pick one or two agents from the matching group, not the whole list.
  3. Check what each one is allowed to do without asking you, using our approval checklist.
  4. Check how it charges before a real task. A free plan is not free transactions, see free AI agents.
  5. Run a small real task and judge the output yourself. Vendor descriptions are claims, not results.
